Stepping Stone Shelter, Inc. provides assistance to homeless families and single individuals by developing a continuum of care system. Through an initial interview and screening, an honest endeavor will be made to determine need. Race, color, gender, national origin, religion, disability, or sexual preference shall not be a factor in this determination.
Housing
Are you in need of shelter? You must apply to become a client. Call the shelter to arrange for an interview appointment. Office hours are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Call 620-626-6024 or come by the shelter during office hours.
Meals
Are you in need of a meal? Stepping Stone Shelter provides meals for anyone in need. Meals are served at 8 to 9 a.m., Noon to 1 p.m., and 6 to 7 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome.

Stepping Stone Shelter is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation. Your donation of cash, goods, or time help us to further our mission of providing temporary housing and meals to those in need. Clients meet with a case manager to determine the steps needed to attain independence. Meals are provided three times a day to anyone in need through our soup kitchen.

The shelter is funded primarily through the generosity of individual donors, local businesses, religious organizations, private foundations and governmental agencies.
